Our knowledgeable guides will lead you through a variety of beautiful ecosystems and highlight the special habitats and the plants and creatures who live there. If you’re lucky, you might even get to meet a few of them! Get outdoors and experience all that Seminole County has to offer. Make sure to bring water, bug repellant and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes.

Cost: $5 per person. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required for all hikes. Children must be at least 7 years of age and accompanied by an adult (unless otherwise noted).

Join a local expert from Seminole County Natural Lands as they give an introduction to and dispel some of the myths about these often-misunderstood cold blooded residents! Visit with native live snakes in the Nature Center, then end with a hike on our trails in search of wild snakes! Closed toed shoes required.

Open to ages 7 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is tailored for families with children ages 4-13. $20 per person for ages 4 and above. Children 3 and under are free.

Learn to camp in a fun, family-oriented event. Meals included! We will have tent pitching assistance, an animal program in the nature center, fishing, hiking, and cooking s'mores over a campfire and much more!
Campout starts Saturday at 2pm and ends Sunday at 9am!
Pre-registration is required, space is limited. Please register each person attending.

Campers will have fun hiking, setting live traps, fishing, handling the animals in the Nature Center, arts & crafts and many other fun activities! Scholarships available.

At Summer Adventure Eco Camp you’ll have fun while learning about the natural world! If your child enjoys being outdoors, this is the camp for them. Our week-long day camps offer hands-on creative programming including hiking, fishing, nature crafts, hands-on experience with plants and animals, projects, experiments, plus lots of fun and games! Have fun getting to know the animals that live at the Nature Center and be prepared to see amazing wildlife on the trails! Each week has a new and exciting theme!
